Almost three years to the day Amanda Telfer was killed by a falling window frame in central London, a Cobham man and Richmond construction company are facing civil charges in connection with her death.

The 43-year-old lawyer was reportedly eating a banana as she walked to work through Hanover Square on August 30, 2012. She was killed after a window fell from a building onto her.

Four people and three companies will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 9, charged with breaching their duty of care, as part of an investigation into her death by the Metropolitan Police and the Health and Safety Executive.

Damian Lakin-Hall, 48, of Portsmouth Road, Cobham, faces charges of manslaughter by gross negligence and a breach of duty of care.

Westgreen Construction Ltd of Richmond is accused of breaching its general duty of care.

Two other people, Claire Gordon, 35, of Ashby Crescent, Leeds, and Kelvin Adsett (aka Kelvin Schultz) 63, of New Road, Slough, face charges of manslaughter by gross negligence and breaching their general duty at work.

Steve Rogers, 61, of Sheering Mill Lane, Sawbridgeworth, is accused of breaching his general duty at work, as are IS Europe Ltd, of Slough, and Drawn Metal Ltd of Leeds.
