Twickenham workers are getting their running shoes on as they gear up for this year's Thames Path Challenge.
Participants can walk, jog or run the 25km, 50km or 100km route from Putney Bridge to Henley along the riverside through Hampton on September 12.
Dan Townsend, general manager of Treasury Wine Estates, based in London Road, Twickenham, is tackling the 50km route along with 30 colleagues on behalf of drinks trade charity The Benevolent, which supports people with illness or disability.
Mr Townsend said: ‘‘We are proud to be a Twickenham-based business and a significant local employer. So it was important to me to pick a challenge that was close to home, enabling as many employees as possible to take part."
