A gravity-defying performance in Hampton Square had spectators on the edge of their seats.

Performance group Motionhouse treated the audience, on Tuesday July 28, to Captiveis, a mix of dance, acrobatics and aerial work performed inside a large cage in a show created by the 2012 Paralympics choreographer Kevin Finnan.

The event was part of Richmond Council’s Try It festival, aimed at showcasing the borough ahead of the Rugby World Cup, and cabinet member for culture Councillor Meena Bond said the performance was an "absolute triumph."
