Richmond sizzled in the sun on Wednesday afternoon, as temperatures exceeded 36C across some parts of the south-east.
Nice cream: The perfect antidote
Sun-seekers flocked to Richmond Park to soak up the sweltering rays and perhaps hoping to catch a glimpse of the wildlife, which Sir David Attenborough claimed was "under threat" this week.
Meanwhile, on Richmond riverside, sun-worshippers came out in numbers to enjoy and endure the blistering heat.
Too hot for anywhere else: Meg Harggar, Katie Hall, Suzi Young and Niki Fottles
Many enjoyed an ice cream sat along the idyllic waterfront, while others opted to take off their tops to make the most of the sun's rays.
The borough appears to have avoided major transport issues as a result of the boiling hot weather but trains were delayed between Feltham and Staines.
