Battersea firefighters have joined the search for missing teenager Alice Gross.

Twelve men from the station have been clearing trees from the Grand Union Canal in Hanwell so divers can search the water.

They have also loaned equipment for heavy lifting to clear the towpath during the search.

Nothing of significance has been found yet and the searches are ongoing.

Fourteen-year-old Alice Gross went missing one month ago and the Metropolitan Police has launched its biggest search operation since the 7/7 terrorist bombings in July 2005.
