A television presenter from Fulwell is set to star in Sky One’s youth culture show What’s Up when the new series airs in the new year.
The popular entertainment show, which has previously featured musicians the Kaiser Chiefs, Rudimental and Maverick Sabre, will air for six weeks in the New Year following a successful Saturday morning run this summer.
Former Hampton School pupil Joe Forrester, 26, is looking forward to interviewing some of music and film’s hottest stars for the new series.
He said: "I’m really excited about the show.
"I think it provides content that our audience can really relate to. It’s fun and about pop culture, but we don’t patronise our viewers - we understand that they’re intelligent and want to know more."
