A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of James Fiennes at a Mortlake tapas bar.

Nicholas Hunter, 36, of no fixed address, who was previously said to be from Rodenhurst Road, Clapham, was charged last night and appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court this morning.

He was also charged with threatening to kill another man, Thomas Olsen, on Tuesday night at the Tapestry in Lower Richmond Road.

Mr Hunter, who has greying sandy hair, wore a grey jumper, and spoke only to confirm his name, address, and date of birth.

He will next appear at Kingston Crown Court on Monday, April 28.

Mr Fiennes, 49, was taken from the Tapestry to St George's Hospital on Tuesday night with abdominal injuries, but died at 2.20am yesterday.
