Festive fir: Christmas trees go on sale Festive fir: Christmas trees go on sale

Richmond and Bushy parks will be selling Christmas trees for the first time this year from tomorrow.

Both parks will have stalls selling everything from Nordman Firs to miniature Albertiana Conicas in their grounds from tomorrow and every day until December 25.

Bushy Park's stall is near the Diana car park and will be open from 9am to 6.45pm and Richmond Park's tree stall will be by Roehampton gate from 8am to 3.45pm.

I was really surprised to see the signs and a huge floodlit pen in Bushy Park as I would have thought the RPA would not have entertained the idea of such commercial venture.

But then again, as their income generating scheme to penalise motorists was foiled, I guess they have to try to raise revenue somehow!

I wonder if we will see an ice rink in the Diana Fountain car park, a fairground in Upper Lodge, a Circus in the Pheasantry and a Christmas Market at the Clapperstyle....?
