Garth Groombridge's book of photographs taken in the 1970s and the present day view includes one in High Street, Teddington. Teddington, Twickenham & The Hamptons Past & Present shows A Geere, a cycle shop which had a lean to glass extension and part of the canopy and facade of Stapleton & Sons, butcher, visible on the left. The cottages behind Geere's shop are thought to date back to the 16th century. Geere's had ceased trading by 1981.
