A man was robbed at knifepoint in Barnes as he walked home in the early hours of the morning.

The 28-year-old man was walking from Putney to Barnes Common and was in Rocks Lane when two males appeared in front of him.

The pair asked him for money and when he said he did not have any they pulled a knife on him. Fearing for his safety he handed over all his possessions, including keys and cash.

The robbers walked off laughing while the man went to his grandmum's house and called the police.

The first suspect is described as a mixed race man wearing a dark duffle coat with three grey buttons down the front, white trainers with blue stripes and dark trousers.

He had a silver knife about five inches in length.

The second man is also described as mixed race, wearing dark clothing and silver trainers.

The incident took place on Friday, August 4, at about 2am.
