The Richmond mum of the creators of the latest release of controversial computer game Grand Theft Auto has spoken of how proud she is of her sons.

Geraldine Houser said she was proud of her sons Dan and Sam's achievements but was disappointed more in Britain did not support them.

"I'm not surprised Sam and Dan have done so well," she told the News of the World newspaper.

"I'm so proud of them.

"They are a massive success story yet they are being vilified in their own country.

"We should be celebrating them. It's disgraceful.

"British film makers are revered when they reach this level of success, even when they make violent movies.

"You never see Guy Ritchie attacked like this and I think Grand Theft Auto is considerably better than anything he's done."

Actress Mrs Houser, who starred opposite Sir Michael Caine in Get Carter under her screen name Geraldine Moffatt, said the movie had inspired parts of the game.

Your are so correct. The people who think the game is so bad have never even seen it. Congratulations to your sons.

What a proud mum! If I ever help millions of people to fantasize about killing cops, stealing dozens of cars and abusing hookers, I hope my mum'll be equally proud!

Harry, you're a fool!

No doubt brainwashed by some do-gooder church types who make decisions for you.
