CCTV footage has shown that a Chiswick motorist was not observing the two-minute silence on Remembrance Day when she received a parking ticket.
Stephanie Jost claimed she was standing by her vehicle, paying her respects to Britain’s war dead, as a traffic warden stuck the ticket on her windscreen at 11am on Tuesday.
Hounslow Council examined CCTV footage of the area following the allegation.
Councillor Paul Fisher of Hounslow Council said: "The allegation made in the forum was not supported by photographic evidence.
"This appears to have been recognised as the PCN was paid on Wednesday morning.
"As far as the council is concerned, the matter is now closed."
Tuesday was the 90th anniversary of the Armistice which marked the end of the First World War.
