Entrepreneurs have the chance to step into the dragons' den for an opportunity to scoop £10,000 for their business.

The entry window for the third Richmond’s Den is now open, with individuals, groups and organisations invited to submit their business ideas for the chance to appear before a panel of high profile national figures and business experts, whose identity will be announced before the final in March.

All entrants will be offered free business support, with three going through to the grand final to pitch for up to £10,000. All finalists are guaranteed a minimum of £1,000.

Cabinet member for business Councillor Pamela Fleming said: "The standards in previous competitions have been incredibly high and I have always been impressed.

"The council’s top priority is to nurture local businesses - they are the future of the borough and the local economy is dependent upon them."

Applicants must send 500 words about their business and plans to richmondsden@richmond.gov.uk by November 13. The final event will take place at the Olympic Cinema in Barnes on March 17.
