Retail vacancy space across Richmond is half of the national average, with new shops opening in recent months.
Just 7 per cent of the borough's main high streets are unoccupied, while nationally the figure stands at 14 per cent.
Richmond High Street has seen a number of new businesses open recently, including the Canvas Gallery and Anthropologie, both in Golden Court, off George Street.
Council cabinet member for business Councillor Pamela Fleming said: "It’s good to see that our High Streets continue to flourish and I’d like to congratulate all our retailers for finding innovative ways of combating challenges from the internet and big shopping developments.
"We hope that people will continue to support their local shops and ensure Richmond attracts the very best businesses to add to our diverse range of shops."
