Two top comedians fresh from their appearances at the world famous Edinburgh Fringe will be coming to Teddington’s Landmark Arts Centre.
Tom Deacon will headline in the first of the centre’s autumn comedy nights.
He will perform his show Deaconator, which has garnered four-star reviews.
The BBC Radio 1 DJ and award-winning stand-up comedian, who also appeared on the Rob Brydon Show and Dave’s One Night Stand, will talk about stag dos, helping his mate rob a bank and potentially causing Greece’s economic crash.
He has won plaudits from the Sunday Times, which says: “With looks, confidence, charm and great material, expect other comics to lynch him.”
Opening the show will be Lucy Beaumont, a hugely talented comedy actress and writer.
The Sony Radio Award winner was last year a finalist in So You Think You're Funny? She was mentored by Jeremy Dyson, co-creator of the League of Gentlemen, as part of BBC initiative Northern Laughs.
Steve Bennett, editor of comedy website Chortle, says: “An innately charismatic stage presence. She’s slight and vulnerable, a bit ditzy and utterly charming.”
Fresh from the Fringe, Landmark Arts Centre, Ferry Road, Teddington, 8pm, Thursday, September 13. Tickets £10 in advance or £12 on the door. Call the box office on 020 8977 7558.
