Twickenham’s Orleans House Gallery is showcasing a special art exhibition to celebrate 40 years on the riverside.

The exhibition, run by Richmond Council Arts Service, will feature renowned British painters such as Samuel Scott and Lord Leighton.

Councillor Pamela Fleming says: “Orleans Gallery is the home of art in this borough. It has a vast collection which has touched many people in 40 years. This exhibition will be a special celebration of its history and will tell a very personal story with some spectacular pieces.”

The art was selected by curator Mark De Novellis and resident artist Ania Bas, who created a panel to display the art in the style of a newspaper front page.

Coun Fleming says: “Not only are we celebrating this historic milestone but we are looking forward to another 40 years of fine art, education and memories.”

The exhibition will run from September 29 to November 25. Visit Richmond.gov.uk/arts for more information.
