The return of the Cambridge Road estate fun day will be extra special this year.

Not only will it be a chance for the community to get together, but it also marks the start of construction work on the play and recreation scheme.

The plans, which have been in the pipeline for two years, will see the installation of play equipment at six locations across Cambridge Road estate and Cambridge Gardens.

Funding has been provided by the Marathon Trust and the Kingston Town committee.

The play and recreation scheme project will be officially launched at the fun day on Madingley Green by mayor Mary Heathcote on Saturday, September 8, at 2pm.
