Richmond Council wants to demolish the old White House building, in Hampton North, and landscape the area as part of its uplift programme.
Liberal Democrat Councillor Darren Thornton spoke to residents in his Hampton North ward, who told him they wanted a medical centre there.
Councillor Stephen Knight, leader of Richmond’s Liberal Democrat group, said: “It’s an area of the borough that’s not very affluent and needs proper health services.”
People attended a drop-in event at Tangley Park family centre on Thursday, August 2, and a second session at Hampton library on Wednesday, August 8, as part of the council’s consultation.
Councillor Virginia Morris, cabinet member for environment at Richmond Council, said: “We will make sure the feedback is considered allowing the plans for the area to be developed in more detail as a result.”
