A motorcyclist has died after a crash in Kew Road last night.
Ambulances were called to the accident at 11.21pm involving an Aprillia motorbike and a Saab.
A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We sent a single responder in a car, one ambulance crew, the air ambulance's medical team in a car, and a duty officer. Sadly one person, a man reported to be in his 20s, was pronounced dead on the scene.”
Flowers and tributes were left in Kew Road where it meets Lion Gate Gardens, not far from the scene of the accident by the junction of Old Deer Park Gardens.
The death follows a nearby incident on Monday in Twickenham Road, where a 14-year-old cyclist was knocked off his bike and taken to hospital.
An inquest will open and adjourn at Fulham Coroner’s Court in due course.
The driver of the Saab, a male aged 72, was not injured.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police road death investigation unit at Hampton Traffic Garage are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Detective Sergeant John Hartfree, who is managing the investigation, said: “Although the collision occurred late at night, the road is a busy road and I would urge anyone who thinks they may have seen either of the vehicles involved, or the collision itself, to speak to us.”
