Nathan Clarke has become Leyton Orient’s seventh signing of the summer.

The former Huddersfield Town defender became the O’s third new recruit in as many days after he penned a two-year deal with the club.

Clarke’s brother, and former Terriers team-mate Tom, was with Orient on loan last season and the pair came up against each other during Nathan’s loan spell with Oldham Athletic.

The 28-year-old spent 11 years with Town as a professional having worked his way through the youth ranks at the Galpharm Stadium.

He racked up over 300 appearances with last season’s League One play-off winners but lost his place in the side under Lee Clark.

He went on to enjoy loan spells with Colchester United, Oldham and Bury but will spend the next two years of his career in the capital after agreeing a deal with the O’s.
