Get the chance to throw a sponge at a local police officer at Twickenham police station’s annual open day this month.
The free event at the station in London Road on Sunday, July 8, will give anybody the chance to view the custody suite at the station and meet officers from a range of units, including those from the marine police, safer neighbourhood teams and the youth offending team.
Officers will also be raising money for affordable furniture charity, Richmond Furniture Scheme, with a Soak a Bobby game, where visitors can throw wet sponges at a police officer locked in stocks.
There will also be a performance from Kneller Hall’s Corp of Army Music’s quintet and other fun activities.
The event will open at 10am and finish at 4pm.
