Pupils at Lionel Primary School are flamenco-ing crazy after an afternoon of music and dance hosted by a parent.

Spanish mum Mrs Harper arranged the event which saw some of the children dressed as flamenco dancers, with a matador thrown in for good measure.

A few of the older pupils who have Spanish lessons at the school gave a thank-you speech in Spanish at the end.

The finale consisted of all pupils clapping and stamping their feet in time to the wonderful guitar music of renowned flamenco guitarist Ramon Ruiz, and copying the dancing of professional dancer Anita "La Maltesa".

Staff also enjoyed the Spanish theme with a lunch of paella and tortilla made by Don Fernando Restaurant in Richmond.
