A campaign against carelessly discarded dog poo has clearly struck a chord with residents.

The Richmond Dog Fouling Campaign reported 1,375 signatures on its petition, which calls for a zero tolerance policy to the littering of dog faeces or dog litter bags.

The petition being submitted to Richmond Council on Tuesday, July 3, after the group collected the 1,000 signatures needed to trigger a debate about the issue at full council.

Organisers of the Richmond Dog Fouling Campaign expressed thanks to all those who signed the petition and welcomed residents to attend the meeting on July 3, where they will present the petition to full council at 7pm in Twickenham’s York House.
