Volunteers and staff at Princess Alice Hospice wore pyjamas to work to launch the charity’s pyjama midnight walk.

The event takes place on Saturday, September 8, and will raise money for the Esher hospice’s new home nursing service.

The eight-to-eight service allows patients to stay at home and receive nursing care throughout the night so carers get a break.

Volunteers at Kingston, Twickenham, Teddington and Richmond’s Princess Alice shops also slipped into their nightwear to promote the charity event to customers.

Previous walks have generated more than £250,000 for the hospice. The pyjama midnight walk has the option of an eight or 12-mile walk.

Entry for the event is £12, with an early bird offer of £8 if participants register by June 30.

The first 400 to sign up will receive a free Wee Willie Winkie hat to get their fancy dress of to a great start.
