A search was launched after an overturned canoe was found drifting in the River Thames.
The empty canoe was discovered floating near Hampton Court Park on June 12.
Surrey Police were called at 11.15am and deployed their helicopter to help search the river.
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution, London Coastguard, Surrey Fire and Rescue and South East Ambulance Service were also scrambled to the scene.
However, it transpired that the canoe was left on a lawn next to its paddles and slid in to the river, so the search was called off.
