The golden age of swing will be brought back to life as part of a special charity fundraising concert this month.
The Dysart Arms, in Petersham, will play host to Shooting Star Chase children’s hospice’s Swing on a Star charity jazz dinner which boasts a whole evening of sparkling jazz melodies for dinners to enjoy.
Songs from the 1930s and 1940s will be played throughout the evening with melodies from the likes of Gershwin, Rodgers and Hart, Duke Ellington and Frank Sinatra performed by vocalists Linley Weir, Gary Bartlett, Wendy Linsey and Janet McCunn.
