Colourful times at Hampton Infant and Nursery School

These creative youngsters had some fun during a special arts and crafts week before proudly exhibiting their work.

Children at Hampton Infant School and Nursery, Ripley Road, showed off their masterpieces to visitors on Thursday, February 23.

They got stuck into crafts, dance, music and drama, with the theme of the Olympics and the Queen’s diamond jubilee celebrations, during the school’s arts week. Sally Good, creativity co-ordinator at Hampton Infant School and Nursery, said: “The children were so proud and excited to have the opportunity to show their families all of their creations and projects and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity of looking around the rest of the school to see what the other year groups had experienced during the arts week.

“It was as though the school had turned into an art gallery for the evening, with installations, whole school projects, group and individual creations on view. There was a real feeling of pride, excitement and achievement in the air.”
