Twickenham residents are the most likely to embrace the discount vouchers culture and hunt down online bargains, according a new survey.
The research was carried out by money-saving website discountvouchers.co.uk, in which it analysed 100 cities and towns across the UK.
The company said the findings highlighted an internet savvy, brand conscious middle class market that are keen to maintain standards but can no longer afford to pay for it.
Discountvouchers CEO Gerard Doyle said: “There is a groundswell of popularity in areas such as Twickenham – shoppers from this area are more than four times as likely to use a discount voucher than the average British person.”
Following closely behind Twickenham is Guildford in second place and Truro in third place, whereas hoppers in Liverpool and Leeds are the least likely to use a discount voucher online. Both cities are almost three times less likely to use a discount voucher online than the average British person.
