Housing association Richmond Housing Partnership (RHP) has been named one of the top companies to work for in the UK.
The affordable housing provider was recognised as the fifth best not-for-profit organisation in the country according to the Sunday Times’ Best Companies to Work For survey.
Chief executive David Done said the award was a huge credit to RHP’s talented and driven employees.
He said: “[Our staff] work hard every day to provide fantastic service for our customers.
“I feel so proud to be part of this amazing team and working together I’m confident that we will become one of the very best service providers in the UK – because people really do make the difference.”
RHP prides itself on having talented employees who it cites as the cornerstone to its success.
Mr Done said RHP had worked hard to create the right environment to encourage and enable all employees to be at their best and deliver great service including running an award winning apprentice scheme designed to actively support local young people into work and training.

Looking at the details they are much more flexible, and have a much broader social agenda than other public sector bodies.
In comparison Richmond council’s job adverts & application forms give the impression that unless you enter in on the ground floor, you have no chance of ever meeting their employment requirements. Which must put off most people from the private sector for applying for roles.
Richmond council may be open minded about employing people from outside the council/public sector, but their application forms give an impression of a 1960s closed shop system.
I hope this is something that the Council will look at, and change.
