Children's Laureate visits Richmond Park Academy

Children’s Laureate Michael Rosen delighted students at Richmond Park Academy when he popped into school for a special visit this week.

The popular children’s poet was at the Park Road school on Wednesday, January 18, to help launch the poetry section of new borough-wide art and poetry competition 2012 Dreams.

During Rosen’s visit youngsters picked the poet’s brains for ideas, learned about what inspired him and heard his amusing family tales interwoven with extracts of his famous poetry.
