A policeman was injured by a flying jar of coffee while trying to break-up a fight between two men in Poundland today.
The fight erupted outside the store in King Street, Twickenham, at about 2pm on Thursday September 8.
When inside the store, one man allegedly picked up a jar of Maxwell coffee from a shelf and threw it in self-defence - just as the hapless policeman arrived on the scene.
Senior sales manager Karim Jivani said two men had been fighting on the pavement outside the shop, before entering the shop and continuing the violence.
Both men were arrested and an ambulance was called for the police officer. It is not clear what caused the fight to erupt.
