Richmond Park-goers have been celebrating the news that one of their favourite local landmarks has been awarded ‘gold’ picnic status in a national British picnic hotspot competition.
The park, the Royal Parks’ largest, is famous for its red and fallow deer who have free reign of the wide open space and natural scenery. It was given the gold status as part of a competition run by Country Life butter, after being recommended by regular parkgoers.
It was one of only 32 parks across the country to be given the top rating. For more details visit countrylifegreatbritishpicnics.co.uk.
