A father and son spent some “quality time” together by cycling the length of the country for charity.
Philip Congdon, of Morley Road, Twickenham, and his 16-year-old son Jack, a pupil at Hampton School, jumped in the saddle to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats, raising more than £1,255.
The money will be donated to charity United Response, which supports people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and physical disabilities, including caring for Mr Congdon’s brother.
The duo set off on their adventure on Saturday, July 2, and travelled up to 90 miles a day, to reach their final destination on Sunday, July 17.
Mr Congdon said: “Overall it was a great experience. We saw some breathtaking scenery, spent some quality time together and raised some money for charity to boot.”
