Young people are being invited to have their say on the future of Twickenham.

A special event has been organised for 11 to 19 year olds who live, work or go to school in the town to share their views on the proposals put forward in Richmond Council’s Twickenham Area Action Plan.

The plan proposes three scenarios for the town formed from ideas received during the public Barefoot Consultation and Twickenham Conference.

Young people will be able to see the plans and ask any questions they might have at the meeting which will be held between 5pm and 7pm on July 20 at Richmond College, Twickenham.

Councillor Christine Percival, the council’s cabinet member for education, youth and children’s services, said:“If we are to get it [the regeneration of Twickenham] right we must work in close partnership with local residents and this includes young people.”
