A pair of pensioners had to be cut out of a car after ploughing through a bush.
The two women, who were believed to be in their 70s, had to be rescued by firefighters after the car they were in drove through a bush and into a garage in Hill House Drive, Hampton, on Monday, June 20.
Fire crews from Twickenham, Kingston and Heston were called to the scene just before 5.30pm and cut the two women out of the car.
Twickenham firefighter Andy Jarwood said: “They went through the hedge and came to a stop at someone’s garage. They were not seriously hurt but as a precaution we had to cut them out.”
It is believed the accelerator of the car became stuck, causing the car to hurtle forward.
Ambulance crew were also called to the scene and took the pair to hospital.
