Motorists are being urged to join a protest outside Richmond Council’s offices after it was claimed the authority pocketed more than £1m in wrongfully issued parking fines.

Campaign group No to Mob, which carries out regular hunts for CCTV cars in London, is due to hold the protest outside York House, in Twickenham, at 3pm on Wednesday, May 18.

Last week Richmond Council said it was seeking advice about refunding the fines and had launched a full investigation.
