A newly established campaign group opposing council plans to build a Catholic secondary school has more than 400 followers.
The Richmond Inclusive Schools Campaign has been using Twitter and Facebook to gather support.
Its founders launched the group after more than 1,100 Catholic parents signed a petition calling for Richmond Council to build a new Catholic secondary school.
The borough is one of two in London without one.
The group said the majority of its supporters were parents and included two school governors, along with religious and non-religious residents.
Group member Jennifer Singer said: “Given high demand for places among residents, Richmond’s new schools must be open to all children.”
