More than £85,000 was raised at the Shooting Star Children's Hospice annual ball.
About 150 guests attended the seventh annual ball at the Dorchester, in Park Lane, including TV presenter Chris Tarrant, actor Philip Glenister and celebrity patrons Laurence and Jackie Llewelyn-Bowen.
Guests were able to bid for auction items, including X Factor Live tickets and a meet and greet with the contestants, which raised £10,000, and tickets to a Shooting Star Christmas event with patron Joan Collins, which went for £12,000.
They also took part in a special game of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? hosted by Tarrant before Shooting Star patron Tony Hadley took to the stage to perform with his big band.
Karen Sugarman, director of fundraising development, said: “We wanted to make this year’s ball extra special as it is our fifth birthday year.
“As always, we are so grateful to everyone who attended and gave so generously.”
