A man who denied stealing a passport will face trial at Kingston Crown Court.
Marcus Allen, 19, of Little Queens Road, Twickenham, appeared at Richmond Magistrates’ Court last Thursday and pleaded not guilty to stealing a passport on September 17.
He admitted stealing stereo equipment on the same day from Seymour Road, Hampton Wick, but denied the passport theft.
Thea Viney, prosecuting, said: “Officers found the passport on him when investigating him for the charge he pleaded guilty to.”
Allen elected for crown court trial and the case will be sent to Kingston on November 11.
He is also facing charges of interfering with a car, in St John’s Road, Hampton Wick, - which he admitted -and assaulting a police officer - which he denied.
Ms Viney said the case was likely to continue on those two charges but no trial has yet been fixed.
Allen was released on bail on the condition he reside at home with his mother and is under a curfew from 9pm until 7am, he had an electronic tag fitted last week to ensure that condition was kept.
