A teenager appeared in court today accused of attacking a 15-year-old with a kitchen knife and a bottle.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

He denied both charges when he appeared at Kingston Crown Court.

The court heard that the 15-year-old was stabbed repeatedly in Hospital Bridge Road, Whitton, on June 15.

Whitton safer neighbourhood team stepped up patrols in the area following the incident.

The defendant, from Shepherds Bush, was released on bail to stand trial at Kingston Crown Court on November 17.

His bail conditions include a 7pm to 7am curfew and that he does not enter the boroughs of Richmond or Hounslow except for court appearances.
