One of the country’s brightest tennis talents proved herself a success on and off the sporting field.
Sophie Morrill, 16, from Lady Eleanor Holles School in Hampton, is ranked inside the top 20 female tennis players under the age of 16 in the country, has captained the England rounders team for her age group and played lacrosse at national level.
On Tuesday, she was one of 20 pupils from the Hanworth Road school to learn she had been awarded 10 A* in a summer where she also reached the top 10 in the under 16 rankings and made it into the top 600 in the world.
