Village green under threat
The future of Hampton village green will be discussed at a public meeting at the end of the month.
Residents became worried after plans to develop a two storey building on the site became public.
They have collected 200 signatures for a petition and have approached council planners.
The meeting will take place at Hampton Junior School on Wednesday, March 25, at 8pm.
A big blowout!
What promises to be a volcanic extravaganza is coming to Richmond Library this Saturday.
During the day there will be a series of exhibitions and talks about volcanos and what causes eruptions.

Flight secrets
Budding pilots can learn all about the mysteries of flight at Sheen Library this Saturday. The exhibition covers all aspects of flight including planes, kites and darts. It is part of a week-long series of events that have focused on science and technology. For more details drop into your nearest library.
Downs runners
Twickenham runners Matt Jackson, Stacey Merrit and Jeanette Archer will be raising money for Downs Syndrome at this year's Flora London Marathon. Mr Jackson's godson, Samuel Turner, was the inspiration behind the run after being born with Downs Syndrome.
The trio are backed by the Downs Syndrome Association and anyone wishing to sponsor them should phone 0181 682 4001.
