LONDON Broncos sealed sixth spot in the Super League with their fourth straight win as they beat Widnes Vikings 24-10 on Sunday.
The victory came courtesy of a first-half performance which saw the side notch up a 22-point lead, too big a mountain for the Vikings to climb.
Luke Dorn raced over in the corner for the opening score before Rob Purdham strolled in for the Broncos' second.
London's defence kept Widnes out and then things went from bad to worse for the home side when Mark McClinden touched down, followed in by Thomas Leulaui.
Before the break Paul Sykes slotted his third conversion of the afternoon.
As the second-half got underway Widnes looked hungry, but could not break down the Broncos' defence.
After 61 minutes Widnes' frustration began to tell when Terry O'Connor interfered at a play-the-ball' situation and Sykes kicked the penalty to make it 24-0.
Late tries from Gary Connolly and Owen Craigie saved Vikings from a whitewash.
"We put pressure on Widnes when it mattered," reflected Broncos coach Tony Rea.
"We defended very well and scored some good tries."
Today (Friday) London travel to second placed St Helens.
Broncos scorers: tries - Dorn, Leuluai, McLinden, Purdham; cons - Sykes (3); pens - Sykes (1).
London Broncos: McLinden, Wells, Sykes, Smith, Bradley-Qalilawa, Dorn, Leuluai, Tookey, Highton, Trindall, Purdham, Hopkins, O'Halloran,
