Richmond & Twickenham completely dominated the field events in Saturday's men's Southern League Division Three match at Barn Elms, scoring 75 points out of a possible 80.

Despite that, they could only finish second overall behind Cambridge Harriers, who scored 145 points, with Richmond 13 points behind.

Fifteen-year-old Michael Robinson won the A pole vault with a personal best of 3.10 metres, an U17 club record which also ranks him fourth on the club's all-time list.

The women finished third in their match with 92 points. The senior ladies team won three events, while the U15 girls only competed in 12 out of 21 events but won 10 of them.

Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow athletes won five gold medals at the South of England Junior Championships at Portsmouth last weekend, writes Dennis Daly.

Micki Finn took gold in the U20 hammer with a throw of 59.22 metres, while former National Champion Matt Townsend won the discus (46.33m).

Dan Pembroke won the U15 javelin with a personal best of 47.28m, Cameron Lake won gold in the U17 high jump (1.90m) and a personal best for Steve Walker won the U17 pole vault (3.90m).

This Saturday WSEH host the combined Mens British League Division One and Division Two match at TVAC.

The Ladies Division One National League team go to Wigan while the Southern Womens Division One and Division Two teams are in action at Abingdon.

On Sunday the WSEH Young Athletes Team is in action at Harrow.
