Teddington pool closed
Teddington swimming pool is to stay closed until at least February 23.
The pool was closed in January following the discovery of major damage to the walls.
Staff are hoping to reopen the pool by March and plan to have an open weekend with fun activities to win the public back.
Happy hours
Videos, CDs, cassettes and talking books are on special offer at Twickenham Library. The library has introduced a happy hour which cuts the normal rental fee from 80p to 40p or 30p for leisure card holders. Happy hours are from 5pm to 6pm Monday to Friday; 5pm to 8pm on Tuesday; and 9am to 10am and 5pm to 6pm on Saturday.
CS sprays
Police in Richmond will carry cans of CS spray following their introduction last week.
The spray, which distorts vision and breathing can last for up to 20 minutes and has courted controversy since a man died after being sprayed last year.
Artist's show
Local artist Martin Davison is currently exhibiting his work at a Teddington gallery.
Paintings and drawings are on show at the Post Nostalgia Gallery, 26 High Street, until March 3.
Open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10.30am to 5pm.
Band recital
A brass band recital at Richmond's Royal Star and Garter home this month will be conducted by Donald Hoskins whose work has included conducting the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
It is being held on Saturday, February 21.
