Medals galore for scullers

Tideway Scullers School were out in force in the National Rowing Championships at the National Watersports Centre, Nottingham, over the weekend, winning one gold, four silvers and a bronze.

Alex Walker and Toby Lonergan won gold in the Men's J15 double scull. The duo have also won two events at this year's National Schools regatta and another at the separate National Championships. Silver medals were won by the men's lightweight quad of Simon Suthers, Seb Butter, Christopher Guest and Anthony Smith, and single scullers Tom Gale (men's open) John Moon (U23) and Tim Colson (Junior). Angus MacAlister took bronze in a composite men's open quad.

There were also wins at Molesey Junior Regatta on Sunday, which saw regatta victories for David Rogal, Edwin Brighty, Alice Gould, Jonathan Williams, Daniel Ashworth, Lenny Lambert, and Matthew Williams.
