Woman pulled from River Thames close to Chiswick Pier

A woman's body has been pulled from the River Thames close to Chiswick Pier.

A police spokeswoman confirmed they were called after the body was seen in the river at 9am yesterday.

The body was pulled from the river at 9.20am. It is not yet known if it is Geraldine Teasdale, of Munster Road, Teddington, a 54-year-old humanities teacher at Teddington School, who was last seen at a party in Twickenham town centre at about midnight on December 11.

The spokeswoman added: "The deceased is yet to be formally identified but the death is being treated as non-suspicious."
