A POP princess from Chiswick is appealing for sponsorship to continue her ascent to superstardom.

Sophia-Rose Laughton, who lives on the High Road, has appeared in Harry Potter, sung with Charlotte Church, Roger Moore and Barry Manilow as well as featuring in her own band.

She has just completed five years star-studded studying at the Sylvia Young theatre school in Marylebone, and has recently been approached by influential members of major record companies planning to work with her.

However, she is hoping to widen her skills to become more knowledgeable in areas such as songwriting and recording studio skills, but is in need of funds to stay based in Chiswick. She told the Times: "I have been offered a place part funded at the prestigious "Polo Piatti" vocal college in Shoreditch, where I had to audition my vocal talents and I am now desperately looking for sponsorship to complete the funding, which will be around £8-10,000.

"I have already secured 2 performing arts college places, Betty Laine in Epsom, and Doreen Birds in Sidcup, beating off over 600 other auditionees, but it would mean leaving my beloved Chiswick, which has brought me so much luck in my dreams to become an accomplished artist.

"Securing this sponsorship would mean I could study and still live in W4 where I feel I belong."
