As a nation Britain is known for daily conversations about the weather so it is no surprise that a library was packed with people to hear a professional discuss the subject.
It was over to Tomasz Schafernaker for the weather at East Sheen library when the BBC forecaster presented his one-man show to a large audience, during which he spoke about his experiences and offered a light-hearted guide to the weather.
Mr Schafernaker, the youngest person to present regional weather forecasts at the age of 22, said: “It's absolutely wonderful to be invited to do a talk at East Sheen library.
“Not only is it close to home, what's even better is that it's an area I'm familiar with, where I often go cycling.”
The event is one of many taking place in Richmond’s libraries over the coming months, with author visits and presentations about the history of the borough among items on the agenda.
