Weeks before the new football season starts players and staff from Brentford FC will be celebrating their achievements in the last campaign at a special reception.
The Bees won Coca-Cola League Two last season and picked up the trophy on the final day of the campaign in early May before jetting off on a celebratory trip to Las Vegas.
Hounslow Council is hosting a private reception with Councillor Peter Thompson, council leader, and Coun Paul Lynch, the borough mayor, for the club at the Civic Centre today, Friday.
Chairman Greg Dyke, acting chief executive David Heath and long-serving player Kevin O’Connor are expected to attend and will receive a plaque from the authority to mark the title win - and the club’s success in being named League Two Community Club of the Year last season.
Coun Lynch said: “This has been a fantastic year for Brentford FC, and congratulations must go to all the staff and players for all the hard work they have put to gain these achievements.”
